Jennifer Boyd

Owner/Operator Jennifer Boyd

Jennifer Boyd brings 20 years of office management experience in the trade fields to Advance Glass. She is a retired USAF veteran with construction experience in contract development, subcontractor management, project estimates, and project inspections, which included commercial glass installation. She has 3 years of professional bookkeeping and small business tax preparation experience. For the last year and ½, she has been adding the automotive glass trade to her skill set as the bookkeeper and occasional install assistant with Cruz Glass. Together Tony and Jennifer developed the concept of Advance Glass Service and officially launched the new venture in February 2022 with Jennifer as the owner of Advance Glass Service and Cruz Glass as the first Advance Glass Affiliate.

Jennifer has always enjoyed the process of taking any situation and restoring it to new or even better than before. She has always been able to see the possibilities and orchestrate that vision into reality. For her, it’s all about helping get customers back to a safe operational vehicle quickly and affordably. In addition to the everyday driver, she feels it’s critical to help get our farmers’ equipment and truckers’ semis back to the business of providing food and supplies for our country. Advance Glass Service values our small towns, farmers, and truckers, we do our best to provide quality repairs quickly and affordably.

Jennifer said, “I am committed to supporting the fundamental belief of the American dream of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I wanted to create a space that would support myself and all Advance Glass Affiliates’ ability to pursue the American Dream independently and support other Oklahoma small business owners in the glass industry. My model of using contracted glass technicians allows them to focus on their work in the field. I interview and inspect their quality before scheduling them with Advance Glass customers. They are the best in their fields and do not need me to micromanage their processes. They manage their own schedules and accept the jobs they are experienced with. This model creates freedom for everyone to do their best and focus on their passion in the industry.” When you select Advance Glass Service for your business you know you are getting an installation technician who wants to be there and you are supporting local Oklahoma businesses.

As a 5th generation US military veteran and 3rd generation military retiree, Jennifer’s commitment to serving our nation is just part of her DNA. She served just under 20 years in both Air Force Active Duty and Oklahoma Air National Guard components, working predominately in Construction and Emergency Responder roles. She is a retired MSgt and decorated Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran. A 2010 environmental exposure during a middle east deployment left Jennifer 100% permanently disabled. She medically retired in 2014 due to the worsening of those injuries. While a full-time hands-on in-the-field return is no longer an option, you will still see her occasionally out on a rig or truck keeping up with the boys.

Despite traveling the world during her military career, Jennifer Boyd has always called Oklahoma home. Her family’s roots run deep in the state going back to the Oklahoma Land Run of 1892. The Boyd family still owns that original land run claim in Fay, Oklahoma. The Boyd Family Homestead with over 100 years of farming operations has been passed down to each generation in its entirety. It is registered with the Oklahoma Centennial Farm and Ranch program and today operates as a bee and honey farm. Just like her military roots, Oklahoma is a part of her DNA.

Through Advance Glass, Jennifer hopes to give the community convenient and honest service with fair pricing that supports the Oklahoma economy and small-town communities. Long term she hopes to open a VA-approved On the Job Training program in the glassworks industry allowing other US Veterans to utilize their GI Bill benefits while learning the glass trade. Upon completion of the program, graduates can become independent glass contractors on their own or continue as an Advance Glass Affiliate.

Outside of the business, Jennifer is a mom to an adopted teen, Mariah. She enjoys off-roading in her Jeep “Commando”, fishing, crafting and staying active as a volunteer with several Veteran organizations. She loves to travel and only has 4 states left to see before visiting all 50 in our nation. Jennifer is passionate about education and holds 4 Associate Degrees, a Bachelor’s in Business Management, and a Master’s of Education in Adult Training and Education.

Cruz Glass

Since 1987

Tony Cruz owner of Cruz Glass is the lead contract installer for Advance Glass and the company’s glass expert advisor. He has 35 years of experience in the auto glass and glazing industry. Beginning his career in 1987, Tony has worked for both national and small independent full-service glass companies. He has been a successful sole proprietor for the last 12 years in the custom and auto glass industry and is based out of Piedmont, OK.

Cruz Glass started after a company downsize suddenly left him on the job search with three small children to support. Tony believed he could build a more stable future for his family, so he decided to strike out on his own. With a truck, $500, and his strong reputation for providing quality service he grew Cruz Glass into a successful small business. In the early days, you might have seen the Cruz kids tagging along on jobs after school. Today his son Ryan still works full time with dad slinging glass. Occasionally daughter Shelby and son Austin will make an appearance on the job. Being able to work with family is one of his most valued benefits of being a business owner.

Tony loves the hands-on aspects of the work, restoring classic cars, meeting customers, and helping people out in a time of need. It’s been a rewarding career for 35 years and he still enjoys going to work every day….well most days. It’s a trade skill and type of freedom he wants to pass on to his children and grandchildren. When he worked for larger glass shops he felt their policies could be restrictive and not always in the best interest of the customer. He enjoys being his own boss without a company net restricting what he can do for the customer. He values his customers and will always do what is right to get them back on the road safely and affordably.

As the grandchild of Mexican immigrants and a US Marine, Tony supports the fight and defense of the American Dream. He recently decided to join Advance Glass Service as the first independent Affiliate and is sharing his extensive knowledge to grow and build a new generation of independent glass contractors.
